  3. What a lovely adoring face! I read yesterday's post with tears in my eyes. This is the hardest part of living with animals. They leave us all too soon. Honey has lived a life that most dogs can only dream of and with people who cared for her so much they couldn't bear to have their adventures without her. Hold her and love her as much as possible and when it's time let her go to a place without pain.
My heart hurts for you all.

  22. Dearest Honey--

I can see by the look on your face that you are very loved and loved back with all your might. I hope your trip over the Bridge—when it is time—is gentle and peaceful.

Please tell your mom that my Ms. Alpha wants her to know that these are such special days that you both have ahead. Make Honey some little omelets with her favorite cheese—you can tuck in the medicine and feed your Princess mouthful by mouthful. When Honey is too tired or in pain to walk, you can take her to her favorite places in a wagon so that she can sniff them and check things out. Ms. Alpha knows from her experience with my predecessor Logo...it was such a bittersweet time to savor the bond and love for almost 15 years.

Please say hello to Logo when you see him. Meanwhile, we pray that you have peaceful and pain free days to love.

    Your pal,
    Fenway
