Hi from Honey....

Hi! Just a quicke post with a few photos from this weekend...mom had TWO days off and we went to the SNOW! Mom and dad have been really worried about me, because I have been slowing down quite a bit, don't know why.... I try best I can . I did perk up in the mountains....
Didn't like these furries below...they barked and showed teeth at me and other doggers when passing by!!! Woof.

Below....me peeking out from under dad's chair at Easter service at the mountain lodge.

My hangout between parkie times....in our camper hallway....

Me in the snow!!!! I did ok that day....just a little slow.....but, nice time with mom and dad....

  3. Hi Honey,
We all have days like that. Do you have any trouble getting into the camper? We have a 5th wheel and sometimes Sir Bear has trouble with the steps.

  4. Hi Honey,

Glad that your enjoying the snow, we have had enough of it here in Oregon.

My sister Rae the Sheltie is 13 years old and she too is slowing down a bit. Mommy was worried about her too. Then Mommy brought me home and Rae is acting like her old self again, and I'm learning how to be a good girl from my sister who knows alot about everything. Even the stuff that Mommy doesn't want Rae to teach me. Hee Hee

    Hope you feel better Honey.

Peace to you and your, Tessa

  5. Hi Honey

We hope that the snow made you feel like a young girl again. It's tough to be an older dog, but looks like your humans are understanding.

  12. Hi Honey! What a fun time you must have had in the snow! That was very rude of those other dogs to be woofers and show teeth to you. Too sad for a dawg to go thru life being unhappy and mean. I'm sure you're not that way. Probably one reason is that you get to go to church and you are happy inside and out!!
Don't worry about bein' slow, I'm sure your parents will take very good care of you and not let you overdo it. I think you look mahvelous by the way!!

    Woofs and slower slobbers,

  16. Hi Honey
As long as you are happy what does it matter if you are slowing up a bit!
You looked like you were having the best of times - we would never be allowed in church in the UK!!
    Take it easy

  23. Hey Honey,
Newsflash! Getting old suxs. You just gotta kinda slow it down a bit and smell the coffee. Your are loved just as much now, if not more, than when you were a more spritly pup. You are amellow and confortable fixture. enjoy the snow leisurely. Enjoy being with your peeps and live life to the fullest. We think that you are a beautiful senior.

  24. Hey Honey,
Newsflash! Getting old suxs. Slowing down is what happens as you age, ya can't turn back the clock; well ya can, but ya can't get younger. You can enjoy life at a more leisurely pace. You are just as loved, if not more, than when you were a spritly pup. Slow down, you move too fast, got to make the morning last.

  25. Hi Honey,

You're a beauty! I don't know anything about the medications your vet is suggesting for joint lubrication, but I do know that acupuncture can be very helpful. Henry (on www.rubyreddog.blogspot.com), had a lot of acupuncture to keep him pain free and flexible as he got older. Dogs seems to respond really well to it.

I don't know where you live, but if it's anywhere near Santa Barbara, I know a really good holistic veterinarian near there - Dr Ella Bittel.

  30. Honey's parents,

I understand your concern about overloading your lovely with medications, and I did not research the items you mentioned. I did want to suggest accupunctute. Our vet offers it as a complimentary service and it can help with all sorts of ailments. Most mammals find it relaxing and benefical. My cousin has also tried Reiki for her wild (active) Westie, it worked fairly well.

    Have a great weekend.

    Best from Beantown,

    Dena

  35. Honey,

My brother Ziggy loves the snow too and he always perks up when it snows here. We're done with that now that spring is here. I wrote about the package you and Sammie sent for my mom's coffee table and the great treats too! Stop by and see it. Thanks so much for everything!
